International Conference on Gears 2019

MDESIGN as exhibitor at the International Conference on Gears 2019

From 18 .- 20. September 2019 the 8th International Conference on Gears takes place at the at the Technical University of Munich’s Gear Research Centre (FZG) in Garching, Germany. The ICoG is one of the leading conferences for the gear and transmission industry. Over the course of three days more than 600 experts from industry and academia meet to discuss the current state of the art, upcoming challenges and new solutions.

Participants will find answers to questions such as Where are the potentials for innovative tooth geometry and modifications?, How can you increase the load carrying-capacity? or What are the best techniques for continuous diagnosis and monitoring? The focus of this year´s accompanying conferences is on high-performance plastic gears and gear production.

The requirements for gears and transmissions regarding function safety, high product durability, a long lifespan or a higher level of energy efficiency are continually increasing. Powerful software tools such as our MDESIGN solutions play a key role in this context. Live on site we will show you how to quickly and efficiently design, calculate and document components and gearboxes with MDESIGN. Our partners from DriveConcepts will give a speech about the topic "Improved tooth contact analysis by using virtual gear twins". Discover how Artificial Intelligence supports designers with the dimensioning and calculation of gearboxes and why AI will play an important role.
