Getting closer with modern methods of rolling bearing calculation
The classic method of rolling bearing design in accordance with DIN ISO 281 is based on manufacturing yield figures and infinitely stiff bearings. However, the new methods come much closer to realistic conditions. They also take into account the compression of individual rolling elements and the finite rigidity of the bearings.
