Intensive Seminar

Quality assurance of
bolted connections
according to DIN EN 17976

In this intensive seminar, you will learn how to apply the measures required by the new screw connection standard
for rail vehicle construction DIN EN 17976 for
quality assurance in a reliable and practical manner. You will gain a
clear overview of all relevant methods for ensuring the assembly result,
their advantages and disadvantages, and the benefits of statistical evaluations using a real
example of a machine capability study (MFU). On day two, you will
get hands-on and evaluate the screw connection data provided. Step by step,
using Excel, without any in-depth prior knowledge of statistics.

Ideal for anyone who wants to evaluate, document, and independently assess assembly processes in accordance with standards.
.

This seminar is independent of the MDESIGN.
It is not necessary to install or use the software.

These topics await you...

Determination of tolerance intervals

The qualitative PFU assessment according to VDI 2645-3
is no longer a priority according to DIN EN 17976.
In this intensive seminar, you will learn how to use tolerance intervals and visualize measured values using histograms.

Validate initial assembly in accordance with standards

How are assembly results validated and evaluated during initial assembly? The focus is on when this validation is necessary and how it contributes to ensuring a standard-compliant screw connection.

Quality assurance for rail vehicles

What quality assurance measures are required for the maintenance of rail vehicles with regard to safety-relevant screw connections? Here you can find out which testing, documentation, and verification procedures are necessary.

Focus on ECM functions & documentation

Learn what information about screw connections must be included in the IH manual and work instructions, and how the ECM functions (ECM 2, ECM 4) can be usefully differentiated. Practical examples are also provided.

objective

Screw connection on rail vehicles
  • Overview of measures required by DIN EN 17976
Learn about the special methods for testing and monitoring
screw connections and their possible applications.
  • Independent evaluation of random samples
Monitoring and continuous inspection of screw connections
    after installation
(Knowledge of spreadsheets required. No specific knowledge of statistics required.)
  • Increased safety
Detect screw connection errors before commissioning and also during
    operation
