DMK 2026: Meet MDESIGN Dresden
On May 5 and 6, 2026, the Dresden Machine Elements Colloquium (DMK 2026) will take place at the HYPERION Hotel Dresden am Schloss. This established specialist event will once again bring together experts from science and industry to discuss current developments in the fields of machine elements, drive technology, sensor technology, and artificial intelligence.
A key focus of DMK 2026 is the combination of classic machine elements with modern sensor technology. These so-called sensor-integrated machine elements are the subject of several lecture series and are the focus of a large-scale priority program of the German Research Foundation (DFG), in which nine other universities in Germany are participating alongside TU Dresden.
In addition, the colloquium will address forward-looking issues such as self-adaptive machine elements, data-driven methods, and the use of artificial intelligence in engineering. The diverse conference program includes over 40 specialist presentations from the fields of research and industrial application, offering participants numerous ideas for the cross-industry and cross-disciplinary use of proven solutions and new technologies.
Early bird discount available until February 27, 2026

Parallel to the presentations, there will be an accompanying exhibition offering space for personal exchange and in-depth discussions between developers, researchers, and users.
MDESIGN represented at DMK 2026 as part of the accompanying trade exhibition. The professional exchange on methodologically sound design, digital calculation methods, and future-oriented engineering underscores the close connection between scientific research and practical software development that has characterized the colloquium for many years.
