The expert module for complete gearboxes
MDESIGN gearbox enables the quick combination of machine elements and immediate evaluation as assemblies consisting of shafts, their bearings and gears. Intuitive modeling with the 3D wizard leads to the complete calculation of all components used in one go. This means that data transfer between individual calculations is no longer necessary. This results in enormous time savings - both for new developments and when modifying existing assemblies.
Prototype development through optimization processes
Depending on the expansion stage of the module, the use of MDESIGN gearbox is suitable for everything from the rapid estimation of new and existing components to the optimization of multi-stage gearbox designs. In this case, integrated optimization methods can be used with regard to mass and installation space, volume or mass inertia. A variant can be selected directly or different proposals can be compared with each other.
Detailing up to the production-ready result
The finished gearbox design then enables a wide range of optimizations of the macro and micro geometry. The definition of gear modifications taking into account the gearbox elasticities and the semi-automatic calculation of housing stiffnesses represent the range of possibilities offered by MDESIGN gearbox in combination with the load distribution modules (MDESIGN LVR/LVRplanet). MDESIGN uses structured STEP models to exchange data with all common CAD systems.
