MDESIGN is the newest member of the VQWS (Verband für Qualifikation und Wissenstransfer in der Schraubtechnik e.V.). Founded in December 2021, the association has created a certification body that can certify specialist personnel and trainers in screwdriving technology. This certification in screwdriving technology thus ensures the necessary transfer of knowledge between the trainer and his training participants. The certification represents an important step, as qualification measures in the field of screwdriving technology are still underrepresented compared to other joining processes. According to the DVS (German Welding Society), however, around 180,000 qualification measures are carried out in welding technology every year.

"Designing and documenting screw connections technically and economically in the engineering process is part of product design. Only safe execution in the assembly process guarantees the properties that must be achieved for a marketable and competitive product. By becoming a member of VWQS, which stands for certification, qualification and knowledge transfer in fastening technology, we are achieving the necessary interdisciplinary exchange for MDESIGN," says MDESIGN Managing Director Reinhard Blömer, explaining the decision to join the working group in the future.

In addition, there are partnerships between the VQWS and the VDI and the Vogel Communications Group, the latter of which addresses experts in the field of screwdriving technology with specialist publications such as "Konstruktionspraxis" and events such as "SchraubTec".
